Larger 14-inch iPad Pro with mini-LED display reportedly in development

According to Display Supply Chain Consultants analyst Ross Young, a new, bigger 14-inch iPad Pro with a mini-LED display is in development and is expected to be on sale in the early months of 2023. This suggests that the gadget will include ProMotion.

This isn’t the first time that a new 14-inch iPad Pro has been mentioned in rumours. According to a 2013 Bloomberg story, Apple was experimenting with several iPad display sizes. On Wednesday, Twitter leaker Majin Bu said that sources had indicated a new 14.1-inch M2 iPad was in the works.

Young predicts that Apple will ultimately offer three iPad Pro versions: the new 14-inch iPad Pro with mini-LED, the 12.9-inch OLED model, and the 11-inch and 12.9-inch OLED models. Since the 11-inch and 12.9-inch versions aren’t projected to be released till 2024, Apple’s move to OLED is anticipated to take two more years.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg earlier expressed his opinion that Apple is developing a new iPad Pro that will support wireless charging for the first time.
