Apple releases watchOS 8.4.2 and macOS Monterey 12.2.1

Apple has today pushed out iOS 15.3.1, iPadOS 15.3.1, watchOS 8.4.2, and macOS Monterey 12.2.1, all of which include security updates for Apple Watch and a patch for a bug that was causing Intel-based Macs to lose battery life while connected to Bluetooth devices while in sleep mode.

Apple distributed the second developer beta of macOS Monterey 12.3 this week, and today’s upgrades come following that. With the long-awaited Universal Control feature enabled in macOS Monterey 12.3, users may switch between using a Mac and an iPad while using a single mouse and keyboard.

According to Apple’s release notes for watchOS 8.4.2 and macOS Monterey 12.2.1, the two upgrades are quite small and mostly concentrate on bug fixes and performance enhancements.
