Kuo says Apple introducing 1TB iPhone 13 Pro, scrapping 64GB storage capacity

In advance of Apple’s much-anticipated “California streaming” special event on Tuesday, renowned industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has spoken out, claiming that the company will for the first time offer a 1TB storage option for the premium iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max while eliminating the 64GB storage option for the entry-level iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini.

While noting that sales of the iPhone 13 are anticipated to increase by more than 10% YoY in 2021, Kuo cautions investors that the iPhone 13 may have supply challenges owing to component shortages (vs. iPhone 12 shipments in 2020).

Apple provides 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. According to Kuo’s prediction, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 small, the device’s successors, would have storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. This might result in a price increase from $699/$749 to $799/$849, respectively.

Kuo anticipates Apple will offer 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB versions with the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
