Apple reports ‘best quarter ever in the history of the company’ for the Mac
Apple has released its financial statistics for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2022, reporting record quarterly sales for the September quarter of $90.1 billion, up 8% from the previous quarter.
With revenue for the lineup reaching $11,508 billion, up from $9,178 in the prior quarter, Apple experienced the “best quarter ever in the history of the company” during the quarter, which ran from June 26 through September 24.
In comparison to 2021, when the Mac product category produced $35 billion, in 2022 it generated over $40 billion.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, the yearly sales increased by 8% to $394.3 billion, while the annual earnings per diluted share increased by 9% to $6.11.
