How to type the Apple logo on iPhone, iPad, and Mac
Two of the most common methods for swiftly typing the Apple logo are shown below. The keyboard shortcut that calls for the option key won’t work on a PC, and the Apple logo won’t be seen on most operating systems that aren’t made by Apple.
The company’s logo appears across a wide range of Apple products, including Apple Music, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and more.
How to Type the Apple Logo on a Mac
The Apple logo may be inserted or typed on a Mac by pressing Option + Shift + K when in a text field. There will be an Apple logo () symbol pre-inserted on your Mac if you use the Mac to do so.
Apple’s logo () may be typed using the Alt + Shift + K shortcut on a Windows keyboard when used with a Mac.
Some macOS keyboard layouts, such as ABC-India, may prevent the aforementioned shortcut (Option + Shift + K) from functioning as intended. Then, go to the Input Sources tab in System Preferences > Keyboard. To add a new keyboard layout, such as English (U.S.), English (UK), English (Australia), English (Canada), Irish, and so on, click the addition (+) sign.
Then, choose one of those keyboards from the menu bar by clicking the letter A or the flag symbol, respectively. Option + Shift + K will now insert an Apple logo.
Create a text replacement shortcut on your Mac if you don’t have access to a secondary input method. The Apple logo may be typed out with only a few words and the text substitution capability. To install it on your Mac, just do what we say.
Please feel free to download the Apple logo here:
- Launch the Settings menu.
- Go to Keyboard > Text Replacements.
- To add anything, choose the addition sign ( ).
- Replace with the word or phrase you want to use. Alternatives to aapl, iphonelogo, and applelogo are acceptable. It should be a word that you seldom type.
- Click the with area and paste the copied Apple logo ().
- Then, after clicking Add, choose done.
The Apple logo should now appear whenever you type the term into a text field on your Mac. Whenever you type in the precise term on your iPhone or iPad, it will be substituted with the corresponding shortcut that you’ve saved in iCloud.

How to get an Apple logo symbol through text replacement
While it is most beneficial on an iOS device, this can be set up on any of your devices and then used across the board.
Therefore, if you’re looking for the fastest possible setup time, a Mac is your best bet.
- To access the Mac’s system preferences, hit the key.
- Go to Edit, then Preferences, then choose Text Entry.
- The plus symbol may be seen at the bottom of the page.
- Enter a keyword or a string of letters to remember into the Replace box.
- In the with box, press Option-Shift-K.
- Let’s pretend that “TypeApple” is the catchphrase that sticks in your mind. If you now write “TypeApple” followed by a space bar, an Apple logo will appear on your Mac.
And also on your iPhone or iPad.
It’s also compatible with the gadgets mentioned. You can’t just type the sign in; you’ll need to look it up, copy it, and then paste it.
- Access the Settings menu on your iOS device.
- Pick the Keyboard option under Settings (if available)
- Select Substitute Text
- Select the plus symbol located in the upper right corner.
- Put the Apple logo in the first Phrase box.
- Shortcut is the second field; here you may enter a keyword or sequence of letters to be used as a shortcut.
- Select the “Save” button in the upper right.
- The order of entering the memorable word and the Apple logo is backwards on the Mac, but correct on the iPhone and iPad.
This content, however, once created, is synced across all of your devices instantly. If you’re using a Mac and you forget Option-Shift-K, don’t worry; just write “TypeApple” (or whatever you’ve set up) and it will activate the appropriate keyboard shortcut.
The Apple Logo Doesn’t Always Appear on Non-Apple Devices
It’s important to keep in mind that not all devices will display the Apple symbol correctly if you follow the following methods to include it in a document, blog, note, or message. On Android, Windows, and other non-Apple systems and apps, the Apple symbol may instead take the appearance of a random geometric pattern. Careful usage is required.
