Pre-ordering for the unusual Framework modular laptop is now available in Ireland, Austria, and the Netherlands, according to a recent release by the makers of the product. The additional locations are in addition to preorders that are presently available in the UK, Germany, and France. Only a €100 deposit, which is entirely refundable, is needed to preorder; the remaining payment will be collected right before shipment, which is scheduled to occur in March 2022.

A few options for the Framework modular laptop include the i5-1135G7, i7-1165G7, and i7-1185G7 CPUs, up to 4TB of storage, 64GB of RAM, Windows or the option of no OS, and the whole set of Expansion Cards. The DIY version’s starting price is $749, while the Framework Laptop’s starting price is $999.

We are constructing a service and fulfilment centre in Germany to enable quicker shipping on forthcoming Marketplace purchases. Now, laptop orders are shipped directly from Taiwan, which is close to our facility via road. It is now possible to get the Framework Laptop in the US and Canada along with Marketplace accessories like Orange and Grey Bezels and new keyboards in a single transaction to receive free delivery on everything, which will all be fully carbon-offset in a few days from New Jersey stocks.
